we have an on-going project that needs to integrate CCM (cisco call manager) with an Audiaflex having a VoIP card. Any advice in the proper way to make it work? In the protocol menu, the unit keeps on telling 'Registering'... Likewise, dialing is not yet possible.

Alexa,

The "Registering" message generally means that the VoIP card has established network communication with the Cisco server, and is attempting to authenticate. If the VoIP card hangs on "Registering", that is typically an indication that it is having problems authenticating. This could be due to a number of reasons:

  • No username/password supplied (in the Protocol section of the Advanced window)
  • Incorrect username/password supplied
  • Cisco (and some other VoIP system manufacturers) requires you to purchase a license for connecting 3rd-party SIP endpoints to their VoIP servers. If you haven't purchased or installed this license, the VoIP card will not be able to authenticate.
