VOX Programming

Hi,


Looking for some assistance from anyone who may have programmed a Nexia CS to detect audio on any channel at a preset level (let's say nominal -30dB or above) that then can output a via logic a preset serial string. When the audio level is below the nominal amount then a 2nd string is also output via the serial port. in this manner a digital recorder can be controlled for VOX (voice activated recording)from the mixer. The nominal level would also be adjustable.


If anyone can share some ideas on the best way to do this or can share a design it would be really appreciated.

Use a ducker, a NOT gate and a 2 input command string
