Hello!

When hooking up Biamp AEC stuff to Videoconf equipment we can work with almost anything. However it seems, that the good old trusted integrator friendly 19" rack mount codec is going away and is replaced by this all in one units which are a PITA.

So what codec to suggest when people want to move up from audio conferencing but not spend millions and are not calling for all this fancy video features. A unit like the Polycom VSX-7000e looks OK from an integrator standpoint but this is a really expensive box. Any other suggestions???

We Use, Tandberg and Polycom VSX, HDX.

The only think you have to know if when you use an external system like biamp, disable the VC AEC and use only the Biamp AEC.

Hi - first post here!

We use Tandberg, but I have also just set up an Insors system, and will shortly be trying a Keda system (www.kedacom.com). Keda are certainly much less expensive that Tandberg, Polycom et al.

Hello!

Thanks for the post! Never hear of KEDA before. The TS3210/3610 looks quite nice as a barebone CODEC I am looking for.

However they do not yet support G.722 but only the Polycom SIREN variant called G722.1 which is not up to date now. It is also not compatible to Audia's Voip card. so for a demo system in a Biamp shop this is somewhat of a dealbreaker as one cannot demo a Voice Only 7kHz WIDEBAND Call between this Codec and a Voip-Audia

Does anybody know more about them? Do they have a GLOBAL distribution?

Bye
