Would like to do a divisble audio conference room with an AudiaFlex with TI-2's . Both rooms would be equiped with a desktop telephone connected to the audia. The phone would work as a normal office phone but when you hit * it would be routed to the audia for use of ceiling mics and speakers. Hit * after the call and the audia turns off.

When the dividers are up, there would be one phone for each half (2 rooms). Each half would have its own speakers and microphones. When the room is open, the mics and speakers would be combined and either phone can be used for the room.

Is there a way to make this work?

Any better suggestion? The client doesn't want a Crestron.

Hey RR,

This is a pretty typical situation so you should be able to accomplish this just fine. The routing of the signals would most likely be done in a Matrix Mixer and be controlled via a preset for the combined and uncombined modes. Remember you will not only want to route the Input Blocks to the Transmit Blocks and the Receive Blocks to the Speaker Outputs, but the References must be routed in the combine as well. I have attached an example file here to give you a better idea of how this would work.

The other thing you will have to look at is how the presets will be fired by the end user. You could design a simple DaVinci file to accomplish this or incorporate a Logic Box or Select 8 solution. If you have any questions about this please feel free to give Tech Support a call and we can discuss this further. Hope this helps.
