I was wanting to confirm that if I have 3 flex units tied together using CobraNet and want to control all 3 units that I only need 1 of the units to be conected RS232 to my control system?

I am pretty sure that I am correct in thinking this but I just need to confirm.

Thanks,

Kris

Hi Kris

As long as your 3 units are hooked together on the same network / switch (beside of the CobraNet connection) you are absolutely right :8}

Cheers

To Kris and Chris,

Audia and Nexia units talk amungst themselves and to the control PC via Audia/Nexia/DaVinci via the network connection and not CobraNet or Nexlink.

Cobranet and Nexlink are for audio only,and so require a seperate switch(audia only),please read the help file for further enlightenment.

All units must be of the same .dap or.nex file,and not seperate files as that could confuse things.

Recalling preset 1001 could mean diffferent things to different files.

That is why Biamp introduced instance ID tags, to be able to control multiple systems on the same network.

Regards Garth.
